Multi-Disc Carbon Fiber and Stainless Drag System

The TCA's advanced aluminum construction enhances structural rigidity and overall durability. With increased resistance to torsional forces and flexing, it maintains exceptional stability and performance under high-stress operating conditions.

The Hydro Block II design keeps water out of your reel’s critical components. Hydro Block II features a rubber gasket that shields the Carbonite drag stack as well as rubber seals above and below the rotor safeguarding your reel from water intrusion and damage. Additionally, Hydro Block II includes a rubber O-ring on both ends of the handle to further prevent water intrusion.

Housed within the spool, the advanced multi-disc Carbon Fiber and Stainless Steel drag system delivers smooth, consistent drag performance under heavy loads. A waterproof Hydro Block gasket helps prevent moisture intrusion, keeping the drag system dry, reliable, and performing at its best in demanding conditions.

Building upon the solid foundation of the renowned HDGII, HDG+ sets a new standard with a minimum of 7% increase in size, enhanced strength, and a higher gear ratio, HDG+ is engineered to be the most all-around gear on the market.

The CYCLONIC FLOW ROTOR (CFR) was designed to create a “cyclonic” airflow, which significantly increases air flow through the ported rotor. This thoroughly tested design allows for a much faster drying time if the reel becomes wet, minimizing corrosion possibilities throughout the reel.

Ultimate pinion gear support with ball bearings from top to bottom offers unparalleled stability and durability.

In standard reels, when the main shaft is moved up and down, a large area of friction is generated with the inner hole of the pinion gear, which causes you to feel resistance when turning. To reduce drag and achieve the lightness of rotation, we hollowed out the center of the pinion gear to reduce friction with the shaft. This change helps create a zero inertia start up and an incredibly light feel when turning the handle.
