Spinner Baits for Saltwater Bass
In this weeks Tune-Up Tuesday, Dave walks us through fishing spinner baits in saltwater for calico bass, sand bass and spotted bay bass.
Spinner Bait
What exactly is a spinner bait? According to Wikipedia, a spinner bait is defined as "any of a family of fishing lures that get their name from one or more metal blades shaped so as to spin like a propeller when the lure is in motion, creating varying degrees of flash and vibration that mimic small fish or other prey."
Personally, I like to use either single or double bladed baits. They do come in a variety of colors and sizes as well as hook configurations. The most common you will find will be the single hook variety, but you'll see some treble hooks out there as well.
In this weeks video, Dave walks us through the basic technique and what to think about when fishing spinner baits for saltwater bass.
This is a great technique that also works as a search bait to find those feeding fish. I really hope this helps you out and adds another aspect to your arsenal.
See you on the water!
