The Okuma Coronado CDX is the third generation in a lineage of bait feeder reels for Okuma that dates back many years. With an updated styling, and increased functionality, the new Coronado CDX will be sure to catch your eye. The Coronado CDX reels utilize advanced technologies to create both exceptional feel and rock solid durability.
The Coronado CDX bait feeding reels were designed with the latest technology available and top anglers around the country. The Coronado CDX features a corrosion resistant graphite body with graphite CFR: Cyclonic Flow Rotor technology to sweep water away from the spool and internal workings of the reel. One of the key updates to the new Coronado CDX is the slow oscillation system. This slower oscillation system gives an exceptional line lay upon retrieve, and is optimized for use with braided line.
“In building the Coronado CDX family of reels, we knew we had a tradition to build upon,” stated John Bretza, Product Development Manager. “The super sturdy construction featuring a heavy duty brass DFD and spool shaft stabilizer as well as a Hydro Block water tight drag seal, make this the perfect reel for offshore applications.”
The Coronado CDX brings its updated technology to four key sizes. A 55, 60, 65, and 80 size reel fill the family up nicely. All four sizes feature the Okuma DFD: Dual Force Drag system with its buttery smooth Carbonite drag washers, and new easier to use On/Off auto trip bait feeding system. Depending on the size of your reel, the DFD process will bring between 27-36lbs of pure drag pressure giving this reel the ultimate in stopping power. To round out its power, the Coronado CDX comes standard with a machined aluminum, screw in handle system, heavy duty solid aluminum bail wire, and machined aluminum, 2-tone anodized spool with LCS lip design to reduce line twist.
The Coronado CDX bait feeder reels are available at an MSRP of $99.99 to $119.99 and backed by a 1-year warranty. For more information, please visit www.okumafishingusa.com
